This is for access to a 40+ minute long video tutorial to sew your own Bonfire Bestie.
Built for stargazing, story-swapping, and chasing core memories. The Bonfire Bestie is an upcycled, one-of-a-kind shirt with that perfectly worn-in feel—like it’s already been on a few adventures. No two are alike, but each one is made for campfires, cool nights, and cozy layers. Let’s get you on your way to making your new favorite shirt!
Supplies:
- Sewing Machine
- Serger (optional)
- Scissors
- Thread
- Pins or binding clips
- Regular sewing needles, or ballpoint if sewing knit (stretchy) fabrics.
Materials Needed:
- 2 shirts of similar thickness/weight size large or larger. I prefer using XL shirts for an oversized fit.
- My favorite shirts to source are lived in flannels, thermals, henleys, & cotton sweaters.
- Please only launder your Grandma Skills products when absolutely necessary to ensure they will last you for many years to come.
- Dry clean, hand-wash, or put in a garment bag on a gentle cycle. Lay flat to air dry. Use a sweater shaver to freshen up fuzzies.
